APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – Charges were filed Monday against an Appleton man accused of trying to carjack a woman.
21-year-old Ryan Farley is charged with taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, disorderly conduct and 3 counts of bail jumping. Farley was expected to appear in court Monday afternoon.
Police in Grand Chute say the incident happened outside of Pawn America, 500 Westhill Blvd., around 1:15 p.m. last Thursday.
Lt. Randy Reifsteck says that a 26-year-old woman and her six-month-old baby were unharmed when a man tried to steal the vehicle they were sitting in.
The woman’s husband, who was inside the store at the time, may have been the intended target. The husband and Farley apparently know each other.
