ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) – A groundbreaking ceremony will be held next week for the first anchor tenant of the new Titletown District.
On Tuesday afternoon, Kohler Company will hold a groundbreaking for its Lodge Kohler hotel. It’s a four-star hotel located on the 34 acres of land owned by the Green Bay Packers west of Lambeau Field.
Officials with Kohler say the new hotel will have 144 rooms with 10 suites, a restaurant and bar, a spa and an indoor/outdoor pool. Mortenson Construction is the general contractor.
Besides Lodge Kohler, the other anchors for the development include Hinterland Brewing and Bellin Health sports medicine clinic. The Packers say that once work on the anchors and plaza are underway, the team will work on the rest of the project, including commercial and residential space.
The first phase should be ready by the start of the 2017 NFL season.
