SHAWANO, WI (WTAQ) – 200 counts of child pornography are among the new charges filed against a traveling basketball coach busted in Shawano County.
23-year-old Nicholas Bennett of Portland, Oregon, is also facing a charge of using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime and child enticement, according to online court records.
Investigators say Bennett was in Shawano last month as part of a traveling basketball camp. There, officials say he met a 13-year-old boy and began texting him.
The texts became sexual in nature, and the boy’s mom contacted police after reading the messages.
