HILBERT, WI (WTAQ) – A Wisconsin cheesemaker says they will more than double its current workforce in Hilbert after a major expansion.
Officials with Sargento Foods say they will add 60,000 square feet of production space next to its current Hilbert facility. The expansion is expected to create 140 new jobs, which will be added in stages.
Currently, Sargento employs 135 people at the plant.
FOX 11 reports that Sargento plans to break ground later this year, with the expansion completed in late 2016.
Sargento makes products for retail, food service and ingredients in Hilbert.
