REDGRANITE, WI (WTAQ) – Police say a Green Bay man was the person who drowned in the Redgranite Quarry on Wednesday night.
Authorities say the victim has been identified as 49-year-old Daniel R. Whitmore.
Police say bystanders and a Redgranite police officer performed CPR on Whitmore before emergency crews arrived on scene. Those efforts ultimately proved unsuccessful.
The call for emergency and EMS went out just before 6 p.m.
Alcohol appears to be a factor, according to investigators.
