APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – Police in Appleton says a man was arrested for throwing rocks into a business’s windows.
Authorities responded to a 911 call just after 1:15 a.m. Thursday of a report that someone was throwing rocks through windows in the 300 block of W. Washington Street.
Officers arrived quickly to find 24-year-old Mozell Barnes III in the area. Barnes matched the description provided by the caller.
Cops say he admitted damaging the windows and they arrested him. An investigation showed Barnes had taken landscaping rocks from a nearby business and threw them through the windows.
Officers found 10 windows broken on the south side of the building, with damage estimated at $10,000. No one was hurt in the incident.
Formal charges against Barnes have not been filed. Police are recommending charges of felony damage to property and a probation violation.
