GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A former Green Bay teacher will spend 9 years in prison for inappropriately touching an 8-year-old girl.
In court Monday, a Brown County judge also sentenced 58-year-old Jer Lovaj to 16 years extended supervision.
Police say Lovaj inappropriately touched and kissed an 8-year-old female student on several occasions. He was working at Sullivan Elementary School at the time. The Green Bay Area Public School District then fired Lovaj.
He pled no contest to charges of second-degree sexual assault of a child and fourth-degree sexual assault last month.
