GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Northeast Wisconsin is waking up to between one and three inches of snow after a quick band moved through the region overnight.
That also means the roads will be slick, so use caution if you’re planning to head out today.
FOX 11 reports that this afternoon will be cloudy with periods of snow flurries and mist with highs in the lower 30s.
A second round of snow moves in late tonight and early Sunday morning. The snow fall will begin around 3 a.m. and should be done by 9 a.m. It’s expected to bring another 1 to 2 inches of snow.
Behind that second band of snow will be arctic air that will cause temperatures to fall throughout the day on Sunday. Winds will pick up at 15 to 25 miles per hour, gusting to 30 miles per hour. Highs on Sunday will be in the mid-teens in the morning hours, falling in the afternoon.
When you wake up on Monday morning the temperature will be -12 and wind chills will be -25 to -35; symptoms of frostbite could begin in less than 30 minutes in this conditions. Highs on Monday may not get back above zero.
