WAUPACA, WI (Wisconsin Radio Network) – A Waupaca woman is charged with multiple counts of child abuse and neglect.
A criminal complaint alleges a pattern of abuse and neglect by Alexis Dahl, 26, from 2016 through this year relating to seven children under the age of 7, several under 4 years old.
Doctors allegedly found injuries consistent with burns from scalding hot water, as well as multiple bruises and scratches on the children, and multiple bed bug bites. The complaint alleges one child suffered a dog bite to the face, and another had ingested insecticide. The home has an infestation of bed bugs, and Dahl allegedly told authorities she didn’t have the money to rectify that. But Dahl and a man living at the residence both bought Harley-Davidson motorcycles with this year’s tax refund.
Dahl’s next court appearance is June 5th.
