MADISON, WI (WTAQ) — Statewide COVID-19 cases jumped by 346 cases between Friday and Saturday to 7,660 cases across Wisconsin.
State officials also reported Saturday that 1,591 people, or 21% of all cases, have been hospitalized. The death toll rose to 334, or 5% of all cases.
As of Saturday, recovered cases in the state actually account for slightly more than the number of cases diagnosed in the past 30 days; 48% of cases have recovered while 47% of all cases have been detected in the past 30 days.
The state accounted for 75,570 negative tests.
In Brown County, a sixth death has been reported alongside a bevy of new cases, with 1,272 cases in the county. Brown County has the highest per capita case rate in the state at 489.6 per 100,000 residents. Milwaukee has the most total cases with 3,147.
