GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Wisconsin technical students wishing to transfer to UW-Green Bay won’t have to pay extra to apply.
Starting immediately, officials say UW-Green Bay will waive the $50 application fee for prospective students from all Wisconsin Technical Colleges System institutions.
Jennifer Jones, UW-Green Bay’s assistant vice chancellor for Enrollment Services, says she knows this fee can sometimes be a barrier for some students and hopes this will encourage them to transfer and complete their bachelor’s degrees on campus.
“Our region and state need more bachelor’s degree holders to meet the need of employers in our region and the jobs of the future. UW-Green Bay is committed to serving our community and making higher education more accessible is one way we can do that.”
Qualified students will just need to select the “Skip Payment” option when completing the UW System online application.
The $50 fee typically covers application processing, including software, wages and overhead.
