ALLOUEZ, WI (WTAQ) – The Brown County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect in connection to an attempted armed robbery. The incident happened on the 2100 block of Webster Avenue around 11:57 a.m. Saturday, February 22nd.
The victim was reportedly plowing snow when the suspect approached and asked for money. When he did not provide money, the suspect pulled out a knife and demanded money from the victim.
At that point, the victim produced a legally possessed concealed carry firearm – and the suspect fled on foot. Brown County Sheriff’s deputies set up a perimeter and attempted a K9 track, but were unable to find the suspect.
The suspect is described as a black male, wearing a Chicago Bears stocking hat, a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans with tan work boots that appeared new. He was further described as looking approximately 35-40 years old and looked clean shaven.
The suspects weapon was described as a kitchen knife that was approximately 8 inches long. The suspect remains at large.
