EAU CLAIRE, WI (WSAU) — Menards has announced another change to its store operations in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Eau Claire-based company says they will no longer allow anyone under the age of 16 in the store at any time, and has also banned pets.
That’s according to a statement posted on their website Thursday along with signs that were spotted at store entrances. The statement adds that anyone who appears to be under 16 will be asked to show a form of identification such as a driver’s license.
Service animals such as seeing-eye dogs will still be welcome. But the company is asking that pets remain in the car, along with any children under the age of 16, to better allow for social distancing among customers in the store.
The home improvement warehouse chain has also decreased hours at some stores.
