Kameron Hankerson hit a three-pointer with under one minute to play to lift the Phoenix to an 85-84 win over Cal State-Northridge on Monday at the Resch Center.
Lance Coleman II’s three-point-attempt in the final second for the Matadors was off target allowing UWGB to get the win.
Green Bay was led by JayQuan McCloud who scored 20 points. PJ Pipes finished with 16 points. He also had seven assists.
Amari Davis and Cody Schwartz contributed 15 and 13 points, respectively, for the Phoenix.
The Phoenix will host Colgate today.
Richmond 62, Wisconsin 52
Nate Reuvers scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds but that was not nearly enough as Richmond defeated Wisconsin 62-52 in the Legends Classic in Brooklyn, NY on Monday.
The Badgers were sloppy with the ball as they committed 15 turnovers and were equally poor shooting the ball, making just seven of their 27 three-point shot attempts.
The Badgers led 47-45 midway through the second half but scored only five points after that.
Kobe King added 10 points for Wisconsin which will play New Mexico today.
