MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) – A woman charged with physical abuse, causing the death of her son, pleaded not guilty in Manitowoc County Court.
27-year-old Rena Santiago is facing six charges.
She told police that he and other roommates had hit her two-year-old son with multiple objects including their hands, shoes and belts, and that she witnessed all of the physical discipline and approved of it.
Police officers were called to a Two Rivers apartment back in April for a two-year-old who was not breathing.
The two roommates have future court dates scheduled.
