The NFL released it's 2020 schedule just over a week ago and that included Pre-Season opponents. Thursday, the Green Bay Packers firmed up the dates and times for this year's exhibition schedule and it will a have a matinee twist at home.
The Packers opener will be Saturday, August 15 against the Arizona Cardinals who are expected to spend the week prior to that game conducting joint training camp practices with the Pack. The kickoff for the annual Bishop's Charities Game will be at 12 noon. It's the first afternoon kickoff at Lambeau Field since Green Bay hosted the Tennessee Titans in the 2006 Pre-Season finale at 3:00 PM.
Week two is also at home and again, in the afternoon as the Packers will host the Cleveland Browns with kickoff for the Gold Package, Midwest Shrine Game at 3:00 PM.
Green Bay will finish on the road, traveling to meet the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium on Saturday night, August 29. It will be the 30th Pre-Season meeting with the Giants, most among any teams but the first since the two teams played in 1997 at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.
The final tuneup will be against the Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night, September 3 at Arrowhead Stadium. This will mark the ninth Pre-Season meeting with the Chiefs since 2010.
