The Green Bay Packers have added two defensive players on the eve of this weekend's NFL draft. Both spent most of the 2019 season on the Miami Dolphins practice squad.
Defensive tackle Gerald Willis (6-3, 302) was undrafted out of the University of Miami (Florida) and signed with Baltimore but was released by the Ravens at the end of training camp. He joined Miami's practice squad and was activated for the final two games of the regular season, playing 53 snaps on defense.
Linebacker Jamal Davis II also wound up on Miami's practice squad after originally signing with Houston following the draft. The Akron product (6-3, 234) later spent time on the practice squads of Tennessee and Indianapolis before landing with the Dolphins. He was brought up to the active roster for the last three games of the season.
The acquisitions brings the Packer roster to 66 contracted players heading into draft weekend.
