NIAGARA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A motorcyclist died Saturday evening after reportedly losing control and crashing, the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office says.
The crash occurred on Wishman Road around 5:49 p.m., approximately 1/4 mile east of US-141 in the Town of Niagara.
Upon arrival to the scene, dispatchers determined that the motorcyclist, Christopher L. Recla, 54, had sustained fatal injuries.
Initial investigation indicated that the driver was not wearing a helmet when the crash occurred.
Failure to negotiate a corner and failure to maintain control are both believed to be factors.
The crash remains under investigation.
