NEENAH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — City officials are seeking input for Neenah’s first three-year strategic plan.
Participation from residents will help define the community’s priorities, strengthen the city’s decision-making and chart a shared vision for Neenah’s future. Key areas include budgeting, infrastructure, public safety, communication and community development.
Neenah has hired a Wisconsin-based consulting firm that specializes in local government strategy and community engagement to facilitate the public engagement portion of the project. This will include a series of interactive workshops, meetings, interviews and surveys with elected officials, department heads, community leaders, residents and business owners.
“The goal is to ensure that diverse viewpoints — internal and external — are considered in shaping a plan that truly reflects Neenah’s priorities,” a news release says.
Mayor Jane Lang added, “Neenah is a vibrant and growing community, and this strategic plan will ensure we continue to thrive well into the future.”
We want this plan to reflect the voices of our residents, which is why it is so important to take the survey and join us at the public input sessions. Together, we will create an actionable vision that guides Neenah for years to come.
If you’d like to participate, you can:
- Complete a brief online community survey, which is open through Oct. 8 at 10 p.m.
- Attend public input sessions; two open-house style meetings will be held in-person Oct. 8 at the Neenah Police Department Training Center, located at 2111 Marathon Ave. The sessions will take place from 10-11:30 a.m. and 6-7:30 p.m.
