MADISON – Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom’s new Read and STEAM lessons are available now. This project features new activities paired with thirteen accurate agriculture books. Comprehensive training materials, including workshops, digital templates and website resources were developed to ensure effective implementation in diverse educational settings.
The Read and STEAM initiative aims to provide educators with fresh, engaging content that helps students make meaningful connections to agriculture, while expanding Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom’s reach statewide. The new lessons are available for free on the Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom website, wisagclassroom.org.
Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom’s Read and STEAM lessons are made possible by a 2025 CHS Foundation Educating Next Generation Agricultural Leaders Grant through National Agriculture in the Classroom. This marks the third consecutive year Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom has earned this competitive grant, bringing total funding received to $30,000.
The $10,000 grant has supported the planning, development and execution of comprehensive lessons and training programs designed to equip both formal and informal PK-12 educators with the tools to teach social studies, English language arts and science through the lens of agriculture.
