(LEARFIELD) = Texas Rangers centerfielder Michael Helman homered and doubled, and drove in all five of his team’s runs Monday night.
At the same time, Brewers hitters were shut out in a 5-0 loss to the Rangers in Arlington, Texas.
Jose Quintana was Milwaukee’s losing pitcher.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said that Quintana just couldn’t get out of a bases-loaded jam in the fifth inning.
Murphy said that one bright spot was the return of Christian Yelich who had missed the past few games with a sore back.
The offense was mostly quiet, with Blake Perkins getting two of his team’s six hits.
Chad Patrick starts the second game of the series for the Brewers tonight.
The game can be heard on 1360 and 97.5 WTAQ with the pre-game show at 6:30 at the first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
