GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Green Bay Area Public School District could take the next steps towards getting a new superintendent at its meeting Monday.
Superintendent Vicki Bayer has been serving in the role since February 2024. She took over when former superintendent Claude Tiller resigned ahead of an investigation into comments he made on an Atlanta radio show. Bayer had said she does not want to be in the position long term.
A notice for Monday’s meeting lists two items related to the position: “Interviews of Superintendent Search Consultants” and “Selection of Superintendent Search Firm.”
The board has said it hopes to begin interviewing candidates early next year.
The school board meets at 5 p.m. Monday in room #331 of the district office building, 200 S. Broadway.
