TWO RIVERS, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Two men were arrested in Two Rivers after a shotgun blast prompted a SWAT team response.
Around 10:15 p.m. Thursday, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2100 block of Hawthorne Avenue for a report of what sounded like an explosion.
During the course of the investigation, the noise was further described as a gunshot.
The home owner, a 24-year-old man, admitted to discharging a shotgun in his home.
Officers learned there was another person within the home and a search warrant was executed with the assistance of the Manitowoc County SWAT team.
A 23-year-old man was located within the residence in possession of a rifle.
As a result, police say the 24-year-old man was taken into custody for felony charges of 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety, possession of short barreled shotgun and misdemeanor charges of bail jumping, disorderly conduct and alteration of property identification marks. The 23-year-old man was also taken into custody for felony bail jumping, misdemeanor bail jumping and possession of THC.
