GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Four people are displaced as a result of a Green Bay house fire.
At approximately 6 p.m. Thursday, the Green Bay Metro Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 1000 block of Chantel Street on Green Bay’s west side.
When crews arrived on scene, they found black smoke coming from the home’s front door and chimney. The fire, which started in the basement, was extinguished in less than 10 minutes.
All occupants in the residence evacuated safely. There were no injuries to residents or firefighters.
Damage is estimated at $10,000. The Fire Marshal’s Office is still investigating the cause of the fire.
