Manitowoc alderman dies after crashing vehicle into building

MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An alderman in the city of Manitowoc was killed after crashing his vehicle into a building.

It happened just before 5 p.m. Tuesday in the area of S. 26th Street and Franklin Street in Manitowoc.

James Brey, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.

“Our deepest sympathies go out to Alderman Brey’s family and loved ones. Alderman Brey gave many years of service to the City of Manitowoc which we are all thankful for,” a news release from the Manitowoc Police Department states.
