(LEARFIELD) – Top Milwaukee Brewers prospect Jeferson Quero is returning from the injured list for Nashville and could get his first taste of Major League Baseball later this season.
Once Milwaukee’s top prospect, the 22-year-old catcher is ranked fourth now, behind players like Jesus Made and Luis Pena.
Quero has been shut down while he recovers from an injury to his left shoulder.
In 30 games with Nashville, he has hit .259, with two home runs, and 18 runs batted in.
New York, New York: The Milwaukee Brewers are back home at American Family Field in Milwaukee to open a 3-game series against the New York Mets Friday night.
The Brewers who won all six of their games on their road trip against Washington and Atlanta will send Brandon Woodruff to the mound. He is 3-0 with a 2.22 ERA.
The Mets will counter with Kodai Senga who is 7-3 with a 2.31 ERA.
