| The National Dairy Farmers Assuring Responsible Management (FARM) Program has begun planning and development for its Animal Care 2028 standards. Over the next year and a half, the FARM Program will work with the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) Animal Health and Wellbeing Committee, FARM Farmer Advisory Council, Animal Care Task Force, and NMPF Board of Directors to review FARM Animal Care Version 5.0 and make any needed updates and improvements for FARM Animal Care 2028, which will come into effect starting Jan. 1, 2028.
As part of this process, the FARM Program is conducting a stakeholder survey, now through Sept. 5, to collect early input from dairy farmers, as well as industry stakeholders and partners, about the topics, issues, and potential changes they would like NMPF to consider for this program update. This survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. All responses will be anonymous. For Participants who would like a postcard with a QR Code to the web survey or a paper version of the survey to share with their farmers, please email the FARM team at dairyfarm@nmpf.org to ask for the PDF. The survey results will be summarized into a final report, which will be available on the FARM website early in 2026. Visit nationaldairyfarm.com to learn more about the FARM Program and the Animal Care revision process. |
