DE PERE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — De Pere police are warning residents and nearby communities about two individuals who have been posing as inspectors, trying to get into homes.
Police say they received multiple reports of two men, possibly in their 20s, who are carrying clipboards and showing up to residents’ doorsteps, posing as inspectors.
They may indicate they are from the city to inspect your attic or other home areas to check on compliance due to a recent change in government regulations.
De Pere reiterates it is doing no such inspections and residents should not let them into their homes.
