(LEARFIELD/247NEWSSORUCES) – Former Bucks star Khris Middleton has taken the expected step and exercised his 33-million-dollar contract option.
He was traded to Washington last season.
That gave Milwaukee more financial flexibility as it tries to fill in its roster.
Injuries have impacted his career, but the veteran still averaged 12 points and four assists per game.
He will be expected to mentor the Wizards’ younger players this coming season.
Holiday headed west: The Boston Celtics and Portland Trail Blazers have agreed to a trade.
The Celtics are sending veteran guard Jrue Holiday to the Blazers for guard Anfernee Simons and two second round picks.
Holiday returns to Portland after he was originally acquired from the Milwaukee Bucks as part of the Damian Lillard trade.
The 35-year-old has three years and over 104-million-dollars remaining on his contract. Simons is entering the final year of his deal.
