EMPIRE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A 40-year-old Fond du Lac man is being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail after the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says he shot at a car parked in a driveway early Monday morning.
The vehicle had two people inside at the time of the incident. According to a release form Sergeant Bednarek of the Sheriff’s Office, around 1 a.m. today the Fond du Lac County Communications Center received a 911 call from a residence on Marys Ave. in Empire. The caller said a man had shot a single round into the tire of the car.
The suspect left the scene before deputies arrived but was located and taken into custody soon after during a traffic stop. A handgun was recovered during the stop.
Investigation reveled that an altercation occurred at the home before the shooting. All three people involved do know one another.
The suspect is being held on charges including: discharging a firearm into a vehicle, pointing a firearm at another, criminal damage to property, carrying a concealed weapon and two drug possession charges.
