TOWN OF PEMBINE (WTAQ-WLUK) – One person is dead after a one-vehicle crash in Marinette County.
The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office says it responded to the incident at 2:25 p.m. Friday on Cemetery Road near Short Cut Road in the Town of Pembine.
Jacob J. Bruneau, 44, of Pembine, was traveling east when he failed to take a curve and left the roadway, colliding with a tree, according to sheriff’s officials.
Bruneau was flown out of the scene, however, died as a result of his injuries from the crash.
Authorities believe speed and failure to maintain control appear were factors in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
