GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — As the 2025 NFL Draft is over, crews are beginning to tear down the NFL Draft Theater and footprint.
Community members are reminiscing about the three-day event.
“Because of the hype to get here to this point and now it’s done and you’re seeing everything go away, you hope it comes back,” said Mike Lamarre.
For football fans from around the country and NFL workers, it was time to catch a flight back home on Sunday.
While waiting for his plane to the Dallas area, Packers fan Matt Stoeberl told us what he will remember most from this year’s draft.
“The crowd. The crowd and how it was just, everyone was having fun, it was, it didn’t matter what your background was, didn’t matter where you were from, didn’t matter what team you were from, didn’t matter who you voted for,” said Stoeberl. “It was just people that wanted to be there for a good time, be around each other.”
This year’s event was one of the highest attended NFL Draft’s ever, with an attendance count of more than 600,000.
Getting ready for a charity flag football event in Ashwaubenon, former Packers running backs Ryan Grant and Ahman Green both agree Green Bay hit it out of the park.
“I’m super proud of Green Bay, the organization, just the city in itself and just the community because it was pulled off beautifully,” said Grant. “You know, I think, I’ve never seen that many people in one setting before. That was pretty crazy.”
“For me, it was like a part of history basically so I wanted, I made sure either way that I was going to make sure that I was going to be here because I knew this was a big deal for not only just Green Bay but the whole state of Wisconsin,” said Green.
As the draft campus is slowly stripped down, fans hope the Draft will be built back up in Titletown again.
“I hope we have one while I’m still around, but the grandkids I’m sure will see something and I’m sure it’ll be back here,” said Lamarre.
