FREEDOM, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Two people from Freedom were taken to the hospital Saturday evening with serious injuries after authorities say they failed to stop at a stop sign and then crashed into a truck.
According to a release from the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, two adults and three juveniles were in a pickup truck driving south on County TK EE in the town of Center when the truck was hit by a car headed west on Wege Rd. The Sheriff’s Office was dispatched around 7:45 p.m.
The car was being driven by a 72-year-old woman. A 75-year-old man was a passenger in the vehicle. Both were sent to a local hospital with serious injuries.
One of the juvenile passengers in the pickup truck was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
