GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — As NFL teams get ready to draft their next generation of players, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Wisconsin is drafting the next generation of mentors during their ‘Big Draft’ recruitment campaign.
Their goal is to get 700 new mentors across the state of Wisconsin; each to be paired with a youth in their community. ‘Bigs’ and ‘littles’ are paired together based on similarities and common interests.
Greta Gaworek is the Community Engagement Manager for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Northeastern Wisconsin; she says Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy is helping in this campaign to connect with mentors and youth through their love of the game.
“We wanted to have this big goal associated with the draft coming to Green Bay and all the excitement, and bring more awareness to our mission,” said Gaworek.
The ‘Big Draft’ campaign runs through April 26; click here to learn more and apply to be a ‘big’.
