(247NEWSSOURCE) CHARLOTTE – The Milwaukee Bucks pumped the brakes on their losing streak after taking down the Hornets 112-102 from Charlotte.
Damian Lillard led all scorers with 29 points and dished out 12 assists for a double-double.
Bobby Portis tallied one of his own with 23 points and 17 rebounds as Milwaukee snapped a four-game skid and improved to 27-and-22.
The Bucks visit the Atlanta Hawks Friday night.
Bucks trade Middleton: The Bucks are moving on from one of their cornerstone players.
Khris Middleton was traded to the Wizards on Wednesday in exchange for Kyle Kuzma.
Washington also received rookie guard AJ Johnson in the deal.
Middleton spent the last 11 seasons in Milwaukee and was a key player in the team’s 2021 championship run. However, injuries have piled up over the past few years as the 33-year-old continues to recover from double ankle surgery in the offseason.
Meanwhile, Kuzma is averaging more than 15 points per game this season but is shooting the lowest percentage from the field in his career at 42-percent.
The NBA trade deadline is Thursday afternoon.
