MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Fans will be able to get into American Family Field faster this year, partly with the help of facial recognition technology, the Milwaukee Brewers say.
The team is launching MLB Go-Ahead Entry at the Home Plate West and Third Base gates. The system has ticketholders take a selfie in the MLB Ballpark app. Then machines will scan fans’ faces and validate their tickets for entry.
Another streamlined option is Express Lanes. Available at all gates, these lanes will be open to fans who do not have carry-in bags or bags that are smaller than 9″x5″x2″.
Another new feature at Brewers games in 2025 will be The Alley Food Truck Park. Located on the left field Loge Level, the park will feature local food vendors and a new bar. Specific vendors are still being finalized.
Other changes include a reconfigured team store with a customization corner offering fans a place to personalize jerseys.
The Rideshare Lot has been moved to the south end of the Molitor Lot, which the team says will allow for additional capacity and quicker entry and exit for rideshare vehicles.
As part of the Brewers’ new lease for the stadium with the Wisconsin Professional Baseball Park District, the team plans to expand offices, resulting in the loss of about 1,600 seats on the Terrace Level.
The Brewers’ home opener is March 31 against the Kansas City Royals.
