APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Noah Thiel was sentenced Wednesday to a year in jail for creating images of bestiality with a dog.
Thiel, 21, was charged in the wake of an investigation into former Racine sheriff’s deputy Preston Kite and former Outagamie County Human Resources Director Adam Westbrook.
Thiel and business partner Jacob Boudreau were charged after investigators determined that’s where Boudreau recorded video of Thiel engaged in sexual activity with a dog.
Thiel was convicted of two counts of bestiality-publishing obscene material of sexual contact with an animal, and bestiality-possessing obscene material of sexual contact with an animal. Two other counts were dismissed.
Before the sentence was issued, Thiel apologized for his actions. He plans to avoid drugs and alcohol in the future, and said he takes “full responsibility” for his actions.
In addition to the jail time, Judge Emily Lonergan placed Thiel on probation for three years. He was also ordered not to have any contact with animals, and must register as a sex offender.
Boudreau was sentenced to 15 years in prison for possession of child pornography at a hearing last week. He owned a Menasha dog grooming business.
The Fox Valley Humane Association assisted with the removal of four dogs from Thiel and Boudreau’s home in the town of Center, the complaint states.
Westbrook was convicted in federal court of producing child pornography for activities in western Wisconsin. His sentencing was supposed to be in December but was postponed. A new date has not been set.
