DOOR COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Crews are working to rescue about a dozen people from the ice of Green Bay.
The Door County Sheriff’s Office says the rescue is in the area of Larson’s Reef and Riley’s Bay, west of Sturgeon Bay.
Sheriff’s officials say a crack opened on the ice and the people, who were fishing, were separated from the mainland.
No vehicles were on the ice.
