KEWAUNEE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man was arrested Sunday night for allegedly operating while intoxicated.
Shortly after 8 p.m., a trooper with the Wisconsin State Patrol initiated a traffic stop near Center Street and 5th Street in Kewaunee.
Officials say Corey Kubsch, 57, of Kewaunee, was behind the wheel of the vehicle that was observed driving left of the center line, among other moving violations.
When the trooper noticed signs of impairment, standardized field sobriety tests were conducted. Kubsch was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, 5th offense.
Kubsch was taken to a local hospital for an evidentiary blood draw and then transported to the Kewaunee County Jail. OWI charges will be referred to the Kewaunee County District Attorney’s Office.
