GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Port of Green Bay reported that during the month of November, the port saw 152,274 tons of cargo pass through its waters.
This is an increase of 73,768 tons of cargo compared to November of 2023.
The month’s leading cargo was limestone at 89,778 tons. Other cargo to pass through included 34,359 tons of cement, 18,330 tons of petroleum products, 9701 tons of wood pulp, and 106 tons of aluminum modules.
The year-to-date total now stands at 1,560,277 tons of cargo, a 4% decrease year-over-year compared to the 1,621,134 compared during the same period last year.
There has also been an increase in ships entering the port.
During the month of November, 17 ships entered the port, bringing the season’s total vessel visits to 165, an increase from 151 last year during the same time period.
