APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Monday as the newest tenant at the Fox Commons development opened its doors.
Prevea Health is now welcoming patients to its Prevea Appleton Health Center at 10 E. College Avenue. The space is located in Suite 110 of Fox Commons, which is underdoing a substantial remodel on the site of the old City Center Plaza.
Officials say the new facility will help meet the care needs of Fox Valley residents by increasing access to behavioral care and physical therapy services.
“We are excited to expand our footprint and proud to serve more areas in the Valley,” said Ashley Verbeten, the physical therapy manager at Prevea Appleton Health Center. “Two areas that we know are access-troubled and people are experience-avoidant is behavioral care and physical therapy, so we’re excited to bring that to the downtown location.”
Verbeten believes the new health center will be a huge benefit for those who live in the area and need these services.
Having a presence in the Valley is important for access, especially when you’re coming to physical therapy or behavioral care. You’re talking about more visits than just that one time that you have to travel, so having things closer to home and being involved in the community is really the most important part for our patients. And from a Prevea standpoint, it’s something that we’re extremely proud of being able to offer.
The Prevea Appleton Health Center’s team of physicians and providers will include:
Kathleen Barrow, LMFT
Danielle Casper, LMFT
Yazmin Fuentes, MD
James Price, MD (beginning Jan. 3, 2025)
Steven Wille, LPC
Kit Glogovsky, LPC-IT
Abigail Schreiber, PT, DPT
Appointments with Prevea Behavioral Care can be scheduled by calling (920) 272-1200, and appointments with Prevea Physical Therapy by calling (920) 272-3380.
The Prevea Appleton Health Center marks Prevea’s second new location in the Fox Valley in the last two years. In 2022, the company opened the Prevea Grand Chute Health Center at 3750 N. Investors Court.
When it’s finished, the three-story Fox Commons will be a mix of commercial, residential and retail spaces.
In October, Lawrence University celebrated the grand opening of its Business & Entrepreneurship Center, located on the second floor of Fox Commons. Dozens of apartment units are also available to Lawrence University students.
