(WTAQ-WLUK) — A Texas man was sentenced Tuesday to 20 years in federal prison for soliciting sexually explicit images of the children of an Appleton woman.
Officials say Bobby E. Matjeka, 43, of San Antonio, communicated online with an Appleton woman and encouraged her to send him pornographic images of her daughter, who was eight years old at the time.
Matjeka and the woman engaged in online exchanges centered around the rape and sexual abuse of the woman’s children. Matjeka continued to receive explicit images of the children and even made plans to install hidden cameras in the woman’s home to remotely view the abuse.
The crimes took place from December 2021 to May 2022.
According to a news release, the woman with whom Matjeka was communicating has already been sentenced.
Matjeka will spend 15 years on supervised release after completing his sentence. He will also be required to register as a sex offender.
