APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Green Bay Packers players are scoring big for hand hygiene and illness prevention, one catch at a time.
For the fourth consecutive year, Tork teamed up with the Packers for their “Tackle Hygiene with Every Catch” campaign. It aims to raise awareness around the importance that hygiene plays in staying healthy and avoiding illness.
For every completed catch by Packers in the first five home games of the season, Tork pledged to donate $250 worth of hygiene products to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin.
With 113 catches made, Tork is donating a grand total of $28,250 in hygiene products to numerous charity partners in the Fox Valley and Milwaukee.
Packers wide receiver Bo Melton — who helped make many of those catches — was on site Tuesday at Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin in Appleton for the donation presentation.
“It’s great to be here representing my teammates,” Melton said. “I speak for all the team and the staff, we want to say thank you to all the dedicated people at Feeding America Eastern. The work you do to lift others is life changing and it’s amazing, so we thank you guys. We are honored to support your mission of helping our neighbors facing hunger.”
Following the presentation, Melton got to work packing up the donations for delivery.
Over the past four seasons, in partnership with the Packers, Tork has donated $111,750 worth of sustainable hygiene products to charities.
