(WNFL) – Saturday was a day filled with WIAA sectional and state championship action.
First, congratulations to Grady Lenn of De Pere for finishing second in the WIAA Division 1 state boys cross country meet at Wisconsin Rapids.
Lenn finished the 5,000 meters with a time of 15.09.2, just a smidge behind champion Manny Putz of Onalaska who won the title with a time of 15:07.5
Stevens Point won the Division 1 boys title with 77 points.
Owen Lencki of Waupaca took second in the Division 2 boys race with a time of 15:51.6, second to Whitewater’s Jack Hefty with a time of 15:46.5.
Kohler won the Division 2 title with 77 points.
The Division 3 boys title was won by Cedar Grove-Belgium with 98 points.
DeClan Gregg of Aquinas with a time of 15:52.7.
On the girls side, Neenah won the Division 1 girls title with 57 points.
Kyla Anschutz of Muskego won the girls title with a time of 18:04.5.
In Division 2, the team title went to University School of Milwaukee with 60 points.
Emmerson Drobac of Deerfield/Cambridge won the girls race with a time of 17:38.9.
In Division 3, Kohler won the team title with 95 points while Mallory Kohn of Dodgeland won the race with a time of 18:08.4
