NEENAH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A pet cat died in an apartment fire in Neenah.
Crews responded to the 16-unit apartment building in the 1400 block of Tullar Road just after 7 a.m. Thursday.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they saw heavy smoke coming from the roof area. A dozen fire departments responded.
All units of the apartment building were evacuated.
“It looked like it was going to be a rather large fire, fortunately we did do a great job with a knock down, the guys did an amazing job. We did not have any civilian casualties, no injuries to civilians, no injuries to firefighters,” said Neenah-Menasha assistant fire chief, Jim Peglow.
Officials believe residents inside four apartment units will be displaced.
The cause of the fire at this time is not known.
