GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An event that usually takes place during the Super Bowl, is coming to the NFL Draft for the first time in Green Bay to make a difference.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced the first “Taste of the Draft” fundraising event Thursday at Schreiber Foods in Green Bay.
Taste of the Draft is based on Taste of the NFL, which is held during the Super Bowl each year. It features food and specialty dishes specific to the city hosting the Super Bowl.
On the eve of the NFL Draft in Green Bay, Schreiber Foods will host the Taste of Draft, which will showcase Wisconsin’s unique supper club experience.
The money raised at the event will go towards GENYOUth, a nonprofit that helps schools across the state provide healthy food to students.
During the news conference, Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy put a call out to Wisconsin supper club owners to participate in Taste of the Draft.

According to GENYOUth, one in six children in Wisconsin are living with food insecurity.
