FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson for a house fire in Fond du Lac.
The fire Monday in the 200 block of Packer Street led to a 16-year-old girl being injured as she escaped from a second-story window and fell to the ground.
Police say they determined an “improvised incendiary device” was use to target the house and start the fire. A 60-year-old man was arrested Wednesday in Menasha. Police are recommending multiple charges. Investigators did not release the suspect’s name.
The girl was taken to Children’s Wisconsin in Wauwatosa for treatment of the injuries she suffered in the fall. Her condition was described as stable as of Friday morning.
