MANAWA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Members of the public are invited to learn more about construction plans for a major thoroughfare through Manawa.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation plans to do work on Highway 22 between highways N and B. Plans call for new pavement, adding some sidewalk and updating curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. Other work includes curb and gutter repairs in spots, repairs to storm inlets and new pavement markings.
The project is scheduled to begin in 2028.
The public informational meeting is set for 5 p.m. Oct. 3 and the city hall, 500 S. Bridge St. A brief presentation is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., with the rest of the meeting taking place in an open house format.
