SCHLESWIG, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Kiel man died in a head-on crash in Manitowoc County and the other driver was seriously injured.
It happened just before 5 a.m. Friday in the area of County Highway X and Louis Corners Road in the town of Schleswig.
Deputies say an 18-year-old Malone man was driving east on County Highway X when he collided with a westbound car, driven by a 72-year-old rural Kiel man.
The 72-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The 18-year-old was flown to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is assisting with crash reconstruction. It remains under investigation.
