APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An investigation is underway after a shooting incident Friday in Appleton.
Just before noon, the Appleton Police Department was dispatched to the 300 block of W. Valley Road on the city’s south side “for reports of gunshots, and multiple involved individuals seen fleeing the area.”
Several local agencies also responded to the scene for assistance and a large police presence canvassed the surrounding neighborhoods. Officers conducted interviews and located physical evidence at the scene.
No injuries were reported. This is an active investigation.
Officials believe this was an isolated incident and there isn’t a threat to the public.
